My mom had not been to the dentist in over two years though she does take good care of her teeth. When she went to the dentist about a little over a month the dentist said her teeth were find but her gums were not. That she had pockets and that her gums were infected.

I am in need of a root canal. I do not currently have dental insurance. My dentist told me to make sure whatever plan I decide to get that it does not have any waiting periods. Other wise he said that they are not worth getting. He said that I may be best off looking for a dental discount plan but that would be up to me.

This is the plan where you choose your own individual or family dentist. The dental insurance plan pays the dental office on a traditional fee-for-service basis. I have dental insurance were I am able to pick any dentist I want to go to. I just got this dental insurance plan about two months ago though my work. I thought I would start to use it since I am paying a little bit each paycheck for the dental insurance.

Why does it seem like there is not one dental insurance company in the US that covers for having dental implants? The dental insurance plans I have called all say it is cosmetic. However that is far from the truth. Just because maybe having dentures are cheaper does not make having dental implants cosmetic.

My dental crown is chipped so that you can see some metal. It is in the back and the tooth itself is not hurting me at all. I just would like to get a new crown. I had that crown for over ten years. I have dental insurance that will pay out 60% of the cost for a crown.

So I have an PPO dental insurance plan that I get though my job. It has a 1500 year max limit and for majors only covers out 50%. I was shopping dental insurance and notice that my dentist is listed on this HMO plan I saw. It looked really good because the crown I need is only $380.00 and my dentist charges $700.00 for the crown.

Preferred Provider Organizations
Another true dental insurance plan, a Preferred provider organizations ( PPO) falls somewhere between an indemnity plan and a dental HMO. This plan allows a particular group of patients to receive dental care from a defined panel of individual dental insurance dentists. This type could be used to provide dental gap insurance.

I have a bad back tooth it is the last molar on the bottom right side of my mouth. I seem to be always having problems with that tooth on and off. I went to the dentist that said he could save it by doing a root canal and putting a crown on it.

What I would like to know is whether or not there is a fee or cost guild line set for dental services? I do not have dental insurance so I pay in full for my dental needs. However now I need to have more then just a cleaning. I either need to have a root canal and a crown done or the tooth pulled and a bridge put on.

I am going to be here in NY going to school for two years. Since I am not going to be staying in the US after my schooling is done I am not sure if I can get dental insurance. I do not know what is needed for me to get dental insurance but would like to have some of my teeth issued fixed before I leave in two years. What can you suggest for me?
I am looking for an insurance plan that will cover the cost of two dental crowns and a root canal. I need a dental insurance plan that will pay out at least 80% with no waiting periods. All I can find are dental insurance plans going up to %50 coverages but with a year waiting period.
