Living in Texas I can not seem to find any dental insurance that is affordable for individuals to buy. I do not receive dental benefits though my employer and I have not been to a dentist in over two years. I would like to go to the dentist for a basic checkup and cleaning but without having dental insurance I can not afford the cash price of seeing a dentist. Are there any dental insurance plans that are made for lower income people.

I am a senior citizen on a low fixed income. Looking to get affordable dental care for myself and my wife. Which is cheaper to get dental insurance or a dental plan? Which is better to use in the long run? I am new to buying dental insurance on line and just want to stay within my budget of what I can afford. Please advise what you would think is good for a senior citizen to get.

I am a full time low income student. Although I do work a part time job I have very little extra money after paying bills and the cost of schooling. I am lucky that I have some medical but I do not have anything for my dental care. I would like to go to see a dentist for at least a checkup and teeth cleaning since it been a while since I last had that done. Do you offer any low income dental plans for students?

Many people may not be brushing their teeth correctly and can be causing damage too their teeth. Abrasion is damage done to teeth by incorrect brushing habits. First do not use hard bristle toothbrush since they are one of the biggest contributing factors to tooth abrasion. Use a soft bristle brush place the brush at a 45 degree angle toward the junction of the gum and tooth and move the brush in a gentle circular motion. Also stay away from abrasive toothpaste.

If you ever had your teeth whiten you may know the trick about drinking stain-able drinks such as coffee though a straw in order to maintain you newly whiten teeth.

Green and Black teas contain polyphenols, antioxidant plant compounds that prevent plaque from adhering to your teeth and help reduce your chances of developing cavities and gum disease.
Christine D Wu PhD, who has conducted several studies on tea and oral health care, states tea also has potential for reducing bad breath odor because it inhibits the growth of the bacteria that cause the odor. Many teas also contain fluoride (from the leaves and the water it’s steeped in), which helps protect tooth enamel from decay.
