When will the numbing wear off after having a dental filling.
I just went to the dentist to have two filling and they numbed my whole mouth. I have no problems with the filling that were done, but I am wondering when will the numbness wear off. I do not want to eat anything until it is gone. I also can not speak correctly why my mouth is numb. If I had a idea of the time frame then I can plan out my day.

In my personal experience it may take up to several hours for the numbness to go away completely. So try and give it some time.

I would say about three hours or so. If you are finding your self really hungry, try eating stuff like yogurt. Since you do not have to chew yogurt you will not have to worry about accidentally biting your tongue.
