Thank you for your help on my last post. I made up my mind to over come my fears of going to the dentist. I made a dentist appointment to see a dentist in two weeks. The thing is I am very embarrassed about how bad I let my teeth become.
Like I said in my prior post my teeth are so bad it hurts to brush. What should I do before going to the appointment? Should I brush and floss and mouthwash regardless of any pain I may have. I do not want to go into the dentist with my teeth being any nastier then they have to.
Pain in is in my bottom front teeth.
Within the last few weeks my bottom front teeth have really been causing me pain. They are really sensitive to cold. I am not sure it if is one tooth or more that is hurting. But even when I talk if cold air hits my teeth they hurt. Any food or drinks for sure hurts. It is like the pain is coming from the inside of my tooth or teeth.
I never had this before so I am worried it is some type of cavity that is hurting me. Though I have been to the dentist for my regular check ups and had no cavities issues then. Advise please on what I can do for the pain until I can afford to see the dentist.
I just got back from a consult at the orthodontics. I was told by the dentist that my son would need to have five baby teeth pulled. Then he could get braces put on and they would straighten out his teeth as the adult teeth come in. He would then have straight adult teeth.
The problem is even with my insurance I have to come up with 500.00 down and 100.00 a month thereafter for as long as he is in braces. This would be at least two years maybe more. This will put a financial strain on our family. Is there anything I can do or anywhere I can go get get cheaper braces for my son?
Medi-Cal Dental plans are becoming ever popular in meeting the needs of medicare customers and patients. We found that CaliforniaDentalInsurance.com had the most dental insurance plan options available on the internet. The problem medi-cal recipients were facing is that they had to meet certain monthly threshold requirement.
I spoke with Dr. David Blunt, CEO of DEL AMO Insurance Services, Inc., located in Harbor City who offers custom tailored dental insurance programs for medi-cal clients. Dr. Blunt said “we can offer the dental client a custom plan that will meet their specific financial threshold requirement using a licensed insurance dental plan company.”
Medi-Cal clients can reach InsuranceCompany.com at 310-534-3444 during regular business hours.
A client had called indicating her gums were bleeding, looked discolored, and had an odor that her boyfriend had complained about for some time. The client stated that she rarely brushed her teeth and never flossed. Come to find out this type of careless dental hygiene is not uncommon according to some recent studies.
“How one knowingly can eat and drink without cleaning up afterward is beyond me” said Dr. David Blunt. “We live in a day and age where one can buy a toothbrush and floss for pennies on the dollar and that far out weighs the cost one incurs at the local dental office.”
Studies have suggested that individuals believe they are too busy to stop for 2-3 minutes which can greatly improve their dental health and that beautiful smile. Consider the two-minute mouth routine which includes mouthwash which helps reduce bacteria in your mouth and tooth decay. Be sure to visit your dentist every six months for a professional teeth cleaning. Generally the cost for this service is under $50 unless you have neglected your teeth.
Your question although a good one for you is missing information to possible give you a better reply. Not all orthodontics expand people jaws. If they do there is a good reason why. I am not sure if you are a minor, but if you are think of it this way. Your parents are not going to want to pay for treatment that is not needed. However it does not matter weather you are a adult or a minor ask your orthodontics these questions. If what they tell you is not enough let them know. Make the explain to you until you fully understand the whats and whys of your treatment.
