I take very good care of my teeth brush and floss daily and go to my dentist for my regular dental appointments. However with in the last three months I have been having on and off again acid reflux. Nothing so far has help me get rid of it completely.
My doctor told me that I may wish to see the dentist because pro long acid reflux can mess up your teeth. Is that true? I was last at the dentist five months ago and I had no cavities. Should I worry and see the dentist a month early or just wait for my six month appointment to come up.
I been having a toothache now for the past few weeks. It is one of my front top teeth. It is not OMG I am in pain but it does hurt off and on. I have been to the dentist only for him to tell me I do not have any cavities nor do I have any gum issues. I know I should be happy with that but I even had my orthodontic dentist look at my teeth and he also tells me that my teeth have no cavities.
I know the pain in is not coming from my braces since I had them now for a year without any pain from day one. I have a great Orthodontic dentist by the way. So why do I have this toothache? Can there be other reasons besides a cavity for someone to have a toothache.
I have no dental insurance in New Jersey: I just found out that my daughter has two small cavities that need to be filled. Since I changed jobs about five months ago I no longer got dental benefits.
I been wanting to get some but just kept forgetting. When my daughter came due for her check up I figure I would pay cash. It was a little more the I thought it would be and then I found out about the cavities. Do you have any dental insurance plans that can help me with her current dental fillings she needs?
I need to have some serious dental care. I do not have any dental insurance and right now I not even working though I am trying to find a job but times are really hard.
It does not help that my teeth look so bad. I know I have cavities because I can see them also one of the teeth in the back is broken. I am not sure what to do. I really feel that part of the reason I can not get a job is because of how my teeth look.
I been without a job for a year not and the money I get for unemployment is not enough for me to get extras like dental care. I not sure what to do but is there anywhere I can go for free to very low cost dental care?
One of my side teeth is getting sensitive to cold. I never had this problem before and I wondering if I could be getting a cavity. I do not see anything off hand so I am not sure. I have not been to the dentist in about seven months but everything was okay at that time.
Can you get a cavity that fast? Should I go back to the dentist? Not sure but do not want to have to spend money if it is nothing.
Hello I am 19 and out on my own I have a full time job that pay well enough and offers me medical but I do not have any dental. The last time I have been to the dentist was when I was 16 so when I when to the dentist two week ago I was not surprised about having four minor cavities that needed to be filled.
What did suprised me was how much it cost to have them fixed. Not having over $200.00 cash handy I had to put off the dental care. What would be best for me to get dental Insurance or a dental discount plan. Which would save me the most money for my needed fillings?
I would say that over all I do not like going to the dentist since every time I seem to go I have a bad experience. However knowing it was a little past time for me to see a dentist I went for my dental check up about a month ago and was told that I needed to have two small cavities filled.
So I did make a dental appointment with a dentist for the fillings, but not really liking the first dentist I went to a different dentist. Where I told her what I was told about needed two small cavities done. At which point the new dentist stated to me that she does not see any cavities that are in need of filling
I have to say I am very frustrated. Sure it is good news not to need the fillings but why would a dentist tell me I need to have fillings done where another one says she see no need for fillings?
About a year ago I had a medium size filling done on a back molar. Now I went to the same dentist that did the filling only to be told that I have tooth decay under the filling. And that Now I may need a root canal and a crown done. Which is going to cost over $1000.00
However is this not the dentist fault in the first place? After all it is clear that he did not get all the decay out the first time when he did the filling and now it is worse and he going to charge me for his mistake. What is up with that? What can I do about this?
Okay so I am fourteen and I have too younger brothers. My parents work very hard for everything and with the economy the way it is they are always worried about money. I think that I may have a cavity starting up and I really do not want to have to tell my parents and put more stress on them over the cost of fixing it.
I notice this small brown spot on my tooth hat no matter how hard I brush or for how long it will not come off. I really does not hurt but what if it is a cavity? However if it is not a cavity just going to the dentist will cost money and then it would be for nothing.
I have four cavities in the back on my molars. The dentist said they are small to medium sizes. And that since I do not have dental insurance to get white filling to match my tooth it would cost me over two hundred dollars. However, if I get the cheaper silver color fillings it would around hundred a little more the half the cost.
I have dental appointment set in two weeks and by then I have to tell him which ones I want. You think since they are in the back I could get away with doing the cheaper filling? I just do not have a lot of money so I am not sure about spending the extra money for looks.
I have always had bad teeth but have very little money to do much about taking care of them. I need so much dental work at this point I am not sure what to do. My teeth are broken/chipped the enamel is wearing thin leaving my teeth open to decay.
Many of my teeth hurt whenever I eat so I have be eating soft foods now for over five months. I can not keep living this way. However I can not afford to do much about it and my self esteem is in the gutter. I hate to smile and I will not kiss my boy friend. He has been really nice to me about this and as offer to help me pay for my dental needs but I do not want to take his money to fix my teeth. Please help me.

I have a bad back tooth it is the last molar on the bottom right side of my mouth. I seem to be always having problems with that tooth on and off. I went to the dentist that said he could save it by doing a root canal and putting a crown on it.
I have dental insurance so that will help me some regarding the cost. However, I really just wanted it pulled. I had filling done on this tooth twice before and I am tired of messing with it. The dentist said he could pull it but would advise against it. Saying that my teeth may start to shift.
It is in the back and I really do not care. Will my teeth really start to shift that badly without it? Wanting to pull it but would that be a big mistake?
When getting a second dental opinion how do you know which dentist is correct?
So here is the story. Last year I was told by the dentist at the time that I needed to have a filling done on one tooth and to have a deep cleaning. So wanting to make sure I got a second dental opinion from a different dentist. That dentist said that I do not need a filling or a deep cleaning. Okay so I when to him for just the regular cleaning he said I needed.
Six mouths later he says now I do need to have a filling and a deep cleaning. He gave me a cost that was much higher then the dentist that I when to before him. This bother me so I when to another dentist for a second opinion. That dentist told me that I do not need a deep cleaning and that I do have a very small cavity on my tooth but it was too small to worry about doing a filling on yet. When different dentist tell you different things how do you know which one is telling you the truth. I do not want to feel like I got bate and switched. Which is how I am feeling. They tell me what I want to hear the first time then try to get me to do all this expensive dental work the second time I go. What is up with that?
I have been told by my dentist that I need three small filling. I do not have an dental insurance right now since my job does not offer it to me. I never really had an issue since I would pay out of pocket for the cost of X-rays once a year and a cleaning. That was all I ever really needed to have done.
Now with the three filling I am thinking I could use some dental insurance. How would dental insurance work for me and will it cover for the filling I currently need? What should I be looking for?
Okay so I am thirteen and I have one baby tooth that has a cavity in it. My adult tooth is there but has not yet came out enough to push the baby tooth out. My mom wants to get it filled because she said the cavity can jump to my healthy adult teeth. However I do not see the point when even the dentist said the tooth should be falling out if not this month then next for sure. Why pay for a filling? I do not think a cavity is going to jump to my adult tooth in less then two months.
Can not afford dental care, letting my teeth rot.
I currently have two abscessed teeth that I am sure needs to be pulled and about six cavities that need to be filled. I am on the low side of low income with no dental insurance. The amount of dental work that I need to have done will cost me more then I can save in four years! There are no caring dentist that are willing to help me I know since I called five in my area who all said that they would only be able to give between 5 to 10 percent discount if I pay in full. Please there is no way I can paid cash in full and they think they are doing me a favor.
So at this point what can I do? I am thinking about letting them go until they fall out. I do not really care since I can not seem to get any dental care. I am just wondering if I continue to do nothing what will happen? Will my teeth just come out on their own ? Will I be able to pull them out if given enough time? I am in pain but I am thinking if the teeth come out that would stop the pain.
Right now I do not have a job and as you can guess live on a very fixed income. The help I get from the state is not much and does not pay for my dental needs. I know I have a cavity or two that need to be address sooner then later. Is there state help that I fail to fine? Or are there dentist that work with very low income people? If so how do I find them?
For the last three months I have been having trouble with one of my back molars on the bottom right side of my mouth. It started hurting but only once in a while depending on what I was eating. Now within the last few weeks it seems to be a constant low pain in my tooth. I also get a weird bad taste in my mouth.
I have been putting up with it because I really do not want to go to the dentist unless I have no other choice. I dislike dentist always have. With this bad taste in my mouth I am not sure what is really going on now. What could it be? How do I get rid of the pain and bad taste?
I have not been to the dentist in over seven years. I use to go to the dentist regularly before I had a really bad dentist that messed up a root canal and I have not been back since getting that fixed. I guess I am afraid of dentist because of that experience.
I know that I have to overcome my fears and go to the dentist because my teeth hurt almost every day now. I know I have alot wrong with them. It sometimes hurts just to brush. My questions is this. I am really worried about going to the dentist because my teeth are really bad. What will a dentist do for the first appointment?
I am thinking a dentist may do a cleaning but I afraid it will hurt since it hurts to brush a clean may hurt even more. If a dentist hurts me too much I am not sure how I am going to get over my fears then. Please give me some useful adivse
Question about my son teeth
My eight year old son has been complaining of a toothache in his bottom back molar. I have not taken him to see a dentist in nine months. I had is dental appointment but missed it due to other family issues that came up. I re-booked his appointment but it is not until June. I am trying to get in sooner now that he has a toothache.
I tried looking at the tooth in question but it just looks like his other teeth and it is not loose. I am worried that he may have a cavity since I was three months late on his dental appointment. He never had a cavity before. I am looking for advise on how to help easy the toothache pain until I can get to the dentist (hopefully in a day or two)
Also if it is a cavity is there any advise on how to easy my son though getting a filling? I am not sure how he will react to having to have dental work. He is not the greatest about getting the cleaning done.
