My crown fell off and I thought I had it fixed
Recapit – Reuse it, yea right?
My crown fell out about two weeks ago. I went to the dentist and he put it back on. Yesterday the same crown come off again. Making another dental appointment with the dentist is hard to do with my work hours.
Knowing that I had an appointment to see the dentist any way next month I went out and bought a over the counter product (Recapit) that claims to repair loose caps.
Talk about your temporary fixes. It lasted less then three hours. Anyone else use this product and have better luck then me?

I have tried using Recapit also with no luck. I used it to temporarily hold my temporary bridge in place until the new one was to come in. I did as instructed. However, my bridge only held in place for a few hours. Feeling that it may have been a error on my part, I repeated the process with the same result.
I would not waste money buy this product again. It did not work and it tasted bad to boot. It is a great idea but the product still needs a lot of work.

You heard the the saying “The third times the charm” Well for me it was the four time. I bought and use Recapit for a crown that fell off. The first three times the crown fell off with in hours. By the fourth try it stuck and I was find until I was able to see my dentist a few weeks later.
In the end the product work but it was a pain. It was just a good thing that they give you enough for around eight repairs. You just may need them all for one crown.

Recapit just does not work. I used it three different times with the same results. My crown just would not say on.
When I went to my dentist and told him what I try to fix it with, he just laughed. He stated at best it is good for a quick fix but not for much more. Well that was coming from a dentist. However I would not advise anyone on buying it.

I do not know what you guys did wrong or if I am just lucky. Recapit worked great for me. My crown fell off and I was able to use Recapit just find. I had my crown on for two months before I went to see the dentist.
In fact when I went to my dentist for re cementing, it took a little pressure for him to get my crown loose.

I used that product as well and would advise anyone thinking of buy Recapit to just have some patient with it. You may have to use it more the once to get it to really work. In short it is for a temp fix until you can get to the dentist.
