Wisdom tooth toothache
Want my wisdom tooth removed
I went to see my dentist three days ago because I thought I may have been getting a cavity in one of my top back molar. After taking X-rays like they do she told me that it was not a cavity it was a wisdom tooth starting to come out and it is hurting my gum’s in the process. I can see a small hole after the last tooth were I guess the wisdom is starting to come though. It really hurts.
So I asked the dentist what I needed to do thinking that I would need to have it removed. She said that I do not need to remove it since it looks like it is coming in straight. I thought they always removed wisdom teeth. I mean after all I am really in pain. I have another appointment at the being of next month. Should I tell her I want it removed? And what should I do about the pain in the mean time?

Believe it or not some people do not need to remove their wisdom teeth if they have room for them to come in correctly. Normally speaking dentist will not remove teeth unless they have too.
I seems by what you are stating that your wisdom tooth that is coming in is not messing up your other teeth. Your dentist does not see a reason to pull it.
The pain you are having is just like a baby teething, it will go away as soon as it comes out far enough. For the pain you can try using Orajel or taking Tylenol or Advil or whatever you may want to use.
