Want braces but do not know what type of dental insurance I should get
I have been wanting to get braces for a long as I can remember. I have a very noticeable under bite. My parents just did not have the extra money to get me braces when I was younger. Now I have a good enough job to be able to get braces but my dental insurance I get though work does not offer adult braces. What type of dental plan do I need to get in order to have coverage for adult braces?

It can be hard trying to find dental insurance that offers adult braces. I would suggest if you want insurance to look for dental HMO. My experience so far is that HMO’s dental insurance plans offers adult braces more often then not. However with that said make sure you read the policy terms to make sure.
The problem you may have with a dental HMO’s may be that normally they only cover for metal braces. As an adult you may not want a mouth full of metal so that is something to keep in mind.
A second choice would be looking into a dental discount plan. They will give you a discount off the cost of braces ranging around 20 percent. A great thing about a discount plan is that you can have any type of braces you want as long as there is a provider in the plan that does the services you are looking for.
I hope this has helped you
