Need a dental Crown, Where can I get dental insurance without a waiting period
I Have a old crown that just fell off three days ago. I went to the dentist that originally put the crown in many years ago. He told me that he can put it back on as a temporally fix, but that I need a new crown as soon as possible.
I damaged the old crown so it really does need to be replaced. My current dental insurance I have though work has a one year waiting period for crowns. Which makes it so I would still have to wait five months before they will cover me to get a new crow. I do not mind buying a dental insurance plan to cover in the mean time, but all the dental plans I have seen inclue waiting periods. I need something that can help me now until my work plan kicks in.

Ask your dentist if they take any discount plans or dental HMOs. If they do not then that may be why he is telling that most plans have waiting period.
At that point you may have to change dentist if you do not want plans with waiting periods. Other wise you are looking for PPOs and just try to find the shortest waiting period you think you can do.

Since you are in pain now you may have to change dentist to fit a plan that does not have the waiting periods. I suggest looking at dental discount plans since they start right away and do not have waiting periods.
