Dental care, really bad teeth at 16
I can not stand my teeth they are all in very bad shape. I even missing quite a few already so I have a lot of gaps and loose teeth. I decided that I just want all my teeth pulled. Since I am 16 I had to talk it over with my mom who agrees at this point just to pull all of my teeth out.
She said she been paying a lot of money for nothing since my teeth are still just causing me nothing but problems. My mom has some dental insurance that will help us with the cost but what I wanting to know is how much will it hurt and how long would it take to heal?
Since I am really skinny I really do not want to have to lose weight because I can not eat. My mom says it not so bad since she had all her teeth pulled out too. But that was many years ago so I am nervous. I am not worried about being toothless for a while since that is much better then have rotten teeth. I will just be happy with dentures then I do not have to go to the dentist any more.

Wow how sad. Unless you are using your teeth do to a medical reason I can not understand why you did not just take care of your teeth so you would not have to be pullling out your teeth.
Either way I would think twice before pulling teeth out willy nilly. Have a full set of dentures at 16 would not be something I would ever want for one of my kids.

Are you sure your mom is okay with having your teeth pulled? Or is she just upset at the time and said sure okay not really meaning it.
Well saying you have a dentist that will pull out all your teeth to give you dentures then sure you will be in pain figure at least a week.
My friend had most of her teeth pulled out due to them being bad from her diabetes. Now she heal slower too but it took her about a week and half to not have any pain from all the extractions.

If that is the only thing that is left for you to do then having dentures are not so bad. That does not mean you will not have to see the dentist.
You have to have denture adjusted from time to time. You also need to take care of them so that you are not having to have them repaired with can be costly too.
You are young so unless you have other health issues going on you should heal just find after the extractions. And the dentist will normally give you a prescribtion for pain killers to help you within the frist few days afterwords.
