Dental Opinons on dental work in Kentucky
I live in Kentucky and have just seen a dentist for my check up, X-rays and cleaning where it cost me without having insurance a total of $225.00 I know before now I have not been to a dentist in a few years. So I was surprised of this cost.
Is this the going cost for basic dental care?? I now need to have a small filling done but I told the dentist I would need to look for a dental insurance plan first. Now the cost of the filling would have been $110.00. I am not sure if this dentist is over priced or if I should be getting a dental plan to help me out here.

I can tell by your price shock that you have not been to a dentist in a long while. The price you are saying you had to pay for your check up, X-rays and cleanings sound within reason of the going prices.
I live in CA and for just a cleaning can cost up to $200 let alone getting any X-rays. However you are not off track by now see just how important getting a dental plan is. Even a dental discount plans would have made going to the dentist much more affordable for you.
I sugguest reveiwing the dental insurance dental plans this website has to offer. All you need to do is enter your zip code to pull up all the plan that are available to you in your state.

Since you need a dental filling right away and probley do not want a dental insurance plan that will have waiting periods. You may want to look at the dental discount plans that are available to you.
You could get one of the dental discount plans and see any of the plan dental providers within the next business day of your order. Saving money off the cost of your filling and any future dental needs.
