Florida Orthodontic Dental Care, and getting dental insurance
I have two son one who is 13 and another that is 15. I was told by their dentist the both should be in braces for overbite issues. I am not sure this is too important to me. Having to pay for braces on not one but two kids would be ver costly at a time when we are trying to save money.
I would like some opinions on if havin a slight over bite is very important to have corrected? Both of their teeth are great no cavities since their baby teeth. Also would not mind some advise on what is a good dental insurance plan to get for braces if we do decide to have them.

We offer both dental insruance and dental discount plans in Florida that would save you around 20 – 25 percent off the cost of having braces done.
I can not tell you that it is important or not important to have an over bite corrected. That would be up to you and your family to deside. But at least we do offer many dental plan options for your review that will help you save money if you choose to get braces for your children.

My suggestion is since them having braces is not something they need to have right now why dont you open a saving account for braces.
Put a what you can afford to each month into the saving account. Then if you choose to get them braces you will be able to when you can afford the cost.
This is what my wife and I did we put $100 a month into a saving account and after a few years we had enough with having dental insurance and the money we saved for a down and very affordable monthly cost for the rest of the braces cost.

If your son has crooked teeth or a bite that was causing them to have large dental issues I would suggest having braces and trying to fix the cost into the budget.
However it they are only site overbites what the harm in not spending money you can not afford to any way. When they get older if they want braces they can get them when they are 18.
My son is 20 and is getting braces for an overbite. I could not afford them when he was a child but now he has a good paying job and he is able to afford them on his own.

I took my daughter to a dental school for braces when she needed them to straighten out our teeth. The dental school we went to was half the cost of just seeing an orthodontic dentist.
They did a great job an it was much more affordable for me to pay for. I live in California so it is a different but check out any school that may be near you and see if getting braces done there is a more affordable way for you to address this issue.
