Does the place where you had the extraction still hurt? Sometime pain will travel. For ex-sample. I get back pain but because my back hurts I get a headache too. If this is not your case. Then I would suggest two things. First go back to your dentist that did the extraction. Do not call walk in the office. Have him/her look at the extraction area and make sure you do not have any infections going on. An infection may cause you to have the other side effects you are feeling now. If they confirm that it is not infected then see your doctor about your pain. It possible that it is two different things and the timing is just coincidence

It would depend on how she feels. People are different about how much they can take or do when they do not feel 100 % . Part of the time healing process is to do as directed afterwords. Saying she does as told, I would guess about a work week, if her job is a M-F. Otherwise take a full week off.

I always advise to speak to the dentist that is doing the work and ask him/her any questions you may have before and after. Not only does that help you in understanding what is expected from you but helps the dentist in treating you. They normally will give you some type of care instructions that they feel is right for you
