Dental Opinions, Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew?
Don’t bite off more than you can chew’ is often used as good advise for people who tend to agree to take on more than they can handle. However if you take this saying literally, then it becomes good advice regarding your dental health care. Taking bites that are too big to chew could be bad for your jaw and teeth, according to the Academy of General Dentistry. People that are at a higher risk are people with temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), which can restrict the range of acceptable bite size.
