Dental care, Dental Insurance would that not make a good gift.
So here my question. I work in a large office where it is important to look good. Now I am not saying you do not have to do great work and work hard. Yes that is very important too. However, we do work with the public so it is important to have yourself look put together.
One of my co-workers who is my work friend and whom I do like has very bad teeth. You can see that they are stained up and that he has cavities. He tells me and some of the other employees that he just does not have the money to get his teeth fixed.
I know for a fact he did not get moved up to a better paying position because he has bad teeth which also makes him have really bad breath. He would had to deal with more people and since he has prior complaints about his teeth and breath the company will not move him up.
His birth day coming up, and I found this really cheap dental insurance plan that should at least help him better afford getting his teeth fixed. My other friend from work told me to not even think about buying it for him. We do give gift to each other so it is not about giving him a gift. She said it is like giving a bar of soap to someone that has bad body odor or diet pills to a really heavy set person. It would be just rude.
I guess I can see her point and I do not mean it to be rude but he is aways complaining about how he can not move up in the company. I am not sure if the bosses are telling him why or if he has ever asked. But even if it seems rude the gift it self would help him out would not that be what is important.
