Starting as the least expensive or the first Delta dental plan you see on the comparison chart. The first Delta dental plan called Alpha Dental 4C05 is an HMO dental plan. You do need to choice a dentist in the plan network. Your dentist must be a provider of this plan for you to stay with him using this type of plan. Benefit of this plan is that it cost less and does not have any waiting periods, or yearly max dollar limitations.
The other two Delta dental plan let you go to any dentist you want so staying with your dentist would not be an issue. The only real difference between the two is the yearly max limitation. You would choice between a $1000 max or a $1500 max.
The max limitation is the dollar amount the insurance company is willing to spend on you each year. Make sure you under stand the terms and conditions of these plans because besides the max limits they also have waiting periods for dental services and deductibles.
